Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside!
Welcome back to the final term of the school year. We cannot believe we are here already! We are going to enjoy this sunny weather and pack our bags and head down to the seaside … well pretend to anyway! We are going to find out about what there is to do and see at the beach. We will compare it to seaside holidays from the past and find out more about seaside traditions like Punch and Judy shows and traditional seaside games. We are looking forward to a busy and exciting last term
Having fun at the beach...
Dinosaur Stomp!
This term, we are learning all about dinosaurs,. We started the topic by reading the story 'Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs'. We were sad and shocked to hear that Harry had left his bucket of dinosaurs on the train. Wren Class decided to help. We made posters and put them up around the school, hoping somebody would find them. However, this did not work so we decided to take matters into our own hands! We formed a search party and went looking for the dinosaurs...
Dinosaur Hunt!
Our trip to Bath City Farm
Term 4 - Spring Watch
Welcome back to term 4. We are hoping for lots of lovely weather this term as we look out for the signs of Spring. We are going to become little Spring detectives and find out about the changes in the weather, life cycles of animals, what life is like on a farm and learn how to grow plants.
Paxfactor is almost here! Paxfactor is our very own talent show that will take place at the end of the term. It is open to everyone and the talents vary from telling jokes to singing and in the past there’s even been some hula hooping! The children share their talents with their peers and the finalist perform on stage in front of the whole school. We are very excited!
Term 3 - Food Around The World

We will be visiting Italy, India, China and Poland, identifying famous landmarks, the countries flags, listening to music from the country and tasting foods.

Term 2 - The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark
Welcome back
We have a very busy festive season ahead of us! Our topic is all about night time. The term will start with learning about the festival Diwali and talking about how we and others celebrate special occasions. We will move on with a bang as we learn about the meaning of Bonfire Night, staying safe and creating some lovely firework pictures. We will then focus on what happens at night time, nocturnal animals and base a lot of our work around the story 'The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark'.
Christmas will arrive in the classroom in December! Our role play will become Santa’s Workshop where we will be able to wrap up gifts, write lists and make cards. We will be writing and posting our letters to Santa and we will be busy making cards and Christmas crafts.
We are all looking forward to a term filled with sparkles and smiles!
Firework Week!
Term 1 - People who help us
The first term at school is an important one. It is a term for familiarisation, getting to grips with some of the basic school routines and working on building friendships. We are going to have lots of fun getting to know each other and learning all about our school.
Along with learning about school life we are going to be looking at ‘People who help us’. We will be looking at those who are here to help us at school and those who help us out in the community such as; police officers, fire fighters and nurses. We might even get to meet a police officer and perhaps have a ride in a fire engine!
We are looking forward to a busy and exciting first term
