Science stimulates and excites pupils’ curiosity about phenomena and events in the world around them. The various topics stipulated in the National Curriculum are covered through a termly programme.
Science incorporates four main areas:
1. Scientific enquiry (taught through contexts taken from the following sections.)
2. Life processes and living things
3. Materials and their properties
4. Physical processes
This subject offers a wonderful opportunity for children to be learning in a practical and active way and the school aims to develop the ability for children to plan and carry out experiments with real purpose.
