We are looking to appoint a Reception class teacher to join the supportive and committed team at Paxcroft Primary School, Trowbridge. We are currently revitalising our Reception provision, refurbishing our outdoor environment and restructuring our two small classes into a Reception team across one open-plan room. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to influence the development of a nurturing, supportive infrastructure that can achieve the best outcomes and progress for our Reception pupils. Reception Intervention Teacher

We are looking to appoint a 0.4 Reception teacher to join the supportive and committed team at Paxcroft Primary School, Trowbridge and lead interventions with our newest pupils. We are currently revitalising our Reception provision, refurbishing our outdoor environment and restructuring our two small classes into a Reception team across one open-plan room. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to deliver focused interventions, catch-up groups and pre-teaching to ensure that no child falls behind. HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Contract status: Permanent, part-time
Hours: 25 hours a week, over 5 days
Salary: Grade H, SCP 15-17 (£14.17- £15.26 per hour)
We are seeking to appoint a flexible, skilled and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with children across our school. Candidates will ideally have a track record of working positively with children and forming good relationships with teachers.
The post holder will support children’s learning in class lessons, work with selected groups, support individuals with specific support plans and further the positive school experience of the pupils. As part of the HLTA role, we would be looking for the post holder to support with absence and PPA cover. We would also be looking to include an hour’s lunch supervision within the hours. Experience with particular Special Needs, eg autistic spectrum disorder, would be desirable.
We would expect that the successful applicant would be able to demonstrate, or be able to develop, the knowledge and skills to deliver interventions appropriate to children working behind expectations in this age range.

Hours of work: 25 hours over 5 days, term time only. Flexible working arrangements considered. Part time.

Midday Supervisory Assistants (x2 vacancies)
Contract status: permanent
Start date: ASAP
We are seeking Midday Supervisory Assistants to join our friendly school team. The role involves a mixture of supervision of children in the lunch hall and encouraging happy, positive play on the playgrounds (and occasionally in classrooms if it is too wet for outside play.)
Some of our current MDSAs cover all 5 days each week but we are happy to consider candidates that can work 2 or 3 lunchtimes per week on a job share basis.
Role information:
Hours of work: 5 hours per week. Mon-Fri, 12.15pm-1.15pm (job share possible).
Salary: Grade B, SCP 1-2 (£10.50-10.60 per hour)
Working pattern: term time (38 weeks per year plus paid holiday)

The successful candidate will have to demonstrate that they will be able to:
- Manage behaviour in a positive and constructive manner, in accordance with the school behaviour policy
- Communicate clearly with other school staff
- Respond to a situation involving first aid in accordance with school policy
- Be aware of Health and Safety issues relating to the school premises
- Maintain confidentiality in line with school policy
