Current Vacancies

 

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Hours of work: 25 hours HLTA, 5 hours MDSA term time only. Flexible working arrangements considered.  Full time.

Contract type: Full time. Term Time. Permanent.

Closing date (and time): Thursday 23rd November 2023 at midday.

Interview date: Tuesday 28th November 2023

Commencement date: Thursday 4th January, or earlier if candidate has availability

Salary Range: Grade H, SCP 15-17 (£14.17- £15.26 per hour)

 

We are seeking to appoint a flexible, skilled and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work within our Reception unit at Paxcroft Primary School. Candidates will ideally have a track record of working positively with Early Years children and forming good relationships with teachers. For the successful candidate, this will be a fantastic opportunity to develop skills and experience in a new, exciting Early Years setting. Visits to our site to see our Reception unit are encouraged and can be booked in through our school office.

 

The post holder will support children’s learning in class lessons, work with selected groups, support individuals with specific support plans and further the positive school experience of the pupils. We would also be looking to include an hour’s lunch supervision. Experience with particular Special Needs, eg autistic spectrum disorder, would be desirable.

 

We would expect that the successful applicant would be able to demonstrate, or be able to develop, the knowledge and skills to deliver interventions appropriate to children working behind expectations in this age range.

Teaching Assistant (TA)

Hours of work: 25 hours TA, 5 hours MDSA term time only. Flexible working arrangements considered.  Full time.

We are seeking to appoint a flexible, skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work within our team at Paxcroft Primary School. Candidates will ideally have a track record of working positively with primary-aged children and forming good relationships with teachers. Hours of work: 18 hours. Flexible working arrangements considered. 

Contract type: Part time. Term Time. Permanent.

Commencement date: Thursday 4th January, or earlier if candidate has availability

Salary Range: Grade E, SCP 6-8 (£12.38- £12.80 per hour)

 

We are seeking to appoint a flexible, skilled and compassionate Emotional Learning Support Assistant to work within our team at Paxcroft Primary School. Candidates will ideally have a track record of working positively with primary-aged children and have had some form of ELSA training. For the successful candidate, this will be a fantastic opportunity to develop skills and experience in our setting. Visits to our site are encouraged and can be booked in through our school office.

 

The post holder will support children’s emotional learning and development through the delivery of a series of planned ELSA sessions over a 6 week period. We would also be looking for the post holder to run a nurture club during lunch hours, for small groups of children who struggle with unstructured periods.

We would be looking for the post holder to work 18 hours a week, scheduled across the school week.
