Paxcroft Primary School

Housemartin

Welcome to Housemartin Class!

We are a mixed Year 3 and 4 class with lots of enthusiasm for our learning. Our class teacher is Miss Parkes and our class teaching assistant is Mrs Edwards. Throughout the year, Mrs Edwards, Mrs Ireland, PH Sports or Mrs Farnell (our specialist music teacher) will be covering our class on Tuesday afternoons whilst we have our planning, preparation and assessment (PPA) time.

PE/Swimming

The children will have PE each Tuesday and a Friday,  children should wear their PE kit to school on this day. The school PE kit is black joggers or shorts, a Plain T-shirt that is their school team colour (Earth - green, Fire - red, Wind - yellow, Water - blue) and their Paxcroft school jumper.

Home Learning

The children all have individual spelling lists to learn to each week. They will be tested on Wednesday and then these will be sent home every Thursday. We would love for you to practise these at home with your child.  We are very keen readers in Housemartin and would love for all our children to be Free Readers by the end of Year 4. If you could listen to your child read at home and make a note in their green homework diary, this would help them on their way to being a Free Reader!  To help with their maths learning the children have Mathletics and TT Rockstars log ons. The children really enjoy playing these maths games, so any encouragement from home would be fantastic!

We are always really keen to hear from you so please do not hesitate to come and speak to us if you have any problems. Alternatively, please email the office admin@paxcroft.wilts.sch.uk
