Welcome to Falcon Class page.!
We are a mixed Year 5 and 6 class.
Our teacher is Mrs Sager and we are supported in our learning by Mrs Evans.
We are a lively, active and curious class.
On our term pages you can find out about all the fantastic things we have been doing and learning about, as well as see the class in action through photographs of some of our more hands-on sessions.
Best regards from

- Year 5 will have a taster day at Clarendon on Friday. This week, Year 5 will complete their DT Bread project, which they have been busy working on while Year 6 have been rehearsing The Lion King. At the end of this week, Year 5 will finally get to make and taste their bread products. I am sure the rolls and loaves will be delicious.

- This week extra time will be devoted to Art as it is Art week. In year 5/6 we will be investigating the Art of Roy Lichtenstein and Year 5 will be looking at the work of Mickalene Thomas. I am sure the children will really enjoy creating self portraits in the style of these artists. An exhibition is planned at the end of the week on Friday.

Home Learning
All the children have green homework diaries (planners), which also act as a record of their reading and general home learning. They can also be used as a quick way of sending a message or a note into school.
I have asked the children to make sure that these are in school every day and they are monitored on Mondays and Fridays. This is to help the children to be more organised in their approach to their learning, which will help them when they move on to Secondary School. The children are encouraged to use the planners to record their reading, any spelling practice they do as well as any time they spend on TT Rockstars, Spelling Frame or Mathletics.
The children have Mathletics and TT Rockstars log ons for maths activities, as well as a Spelling Frame log on so they can also practise at home.
All children have individual spelling lists to learn from the statutory words. Every other week, we investigate a spelling pattern or rule.
Thank you for your continued support with home learning
