This week the children have continued to develop their understanding of Place Value, so they should be able to tell you the value of the digit 4 in the number 247 (let us know if they can’t!) We have been developing our story writer’s toolbox this week, by focussing on developing vivid settings for our stories and interesting characters to include when we write the completed story next week. Science this term is all about the body, so you could well have heard the names of lots of different bones being used. Ask them how their skeleton moves – they should be able to tell you that muscles contract and relax to move our bodies around. We’ve also been learning about our digestive systems. Apologies if they choose to tell you all about this at the dinner table!
