We have had a couple of short but busy weeks in Year 3 and 4. Last week the children had a DT day where they designed and made slingshot cars. The children worked hard and showed great resilience in making their cars and lots of fun was had by all. At the end of last week some lucky children attended a Coronation Parade and Picnic in the town. This week, we have been thinking about how to improve our descriptive writing by using ambitious adjectives, similes and metaphors. We are hoping to use these to write some fantastic pieces of descriptive work later in the term. In Science, we have continued our work on light and have been looking at reflective and non-reflective materials. We are still reading and enjoying the story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

We all enjoyed eating our lunch outside as a school, to mark the King's Coronation. We made hats and flags to celebrate the occassion.
