In English this term, we will be looking at story writing.  We will be reading 'The Firework-Maker's Daughter' by Philip Pullman and will also be looking at the book 'Once Upon a Dragon's Fire' a story book by Beatrice Blue.

In Maths the children will be covering units on Place Value and Addition and Subtraction. 

We will be focusing on two main areas of learning this term through our topic work. To begin the term, we are exploring the Science unit of ‘Animals Including Humans’.  The children will be learning about the human body and what we need to stay fit and healthy. They will be identifying the different bones in their body ad looking at how we digest food.  Our next unit of work will be a Geography based unit ‘Volcanoes and Earthquakes’. The children will learn about the structure of the Earth and Volcanoes and will learn about why and how earthquakes happen.

We will be having an RE Day this term where we will be comparing what different faiths believe about God.
