At Paxcroft School children will be involved in processes of planning, designing, making and evaluating during practical D&T projects.

They will explore how things work through disassembly of a variety of objects.  They will take part in focused practical tasks in which they will develop the skills they need during the designing and making process.  All children will be given the opportunity to evaluate their work, discussing with other children what went well and what could be improved on next time.

Alongside this, children are given regular opportunities to use construction kits and are increasingly involved in aspects of graphical design using ICT.
