Home Page

Welcome to Kestrel Class. We are a mixed year five and six class. We are taught by Miss Dale and our teaching assistant is Mrs Cook.

On our term pages you can find the link to our termly curriculum letter and topic web which outlines how our topic links to the National Curriculum. You can also find a link to our Home Learning tasks which are project ideas based on our topic.

If you are looking for some ideas for books for you and your child to get stuck into, then there is a link to the Schools Reading List website.

WC 4.12.17

  • Don't forget that homework is due in this Monday. There will be an exhibition of all the fabulous home learning tasks in the hall on Wednesday afterschool. The delicious edible creations made by some of the children however, may not make it until then!

WC 27.11.17

  • We have been very busy over the last few weeks, costing, designing and researching chocolate products but this week we have been making our own truffle designs. It was rather sticky and messy but we enjoyed tasting them! Take a look at the photographs of our finished products in our Term 2 page. Next week we will be pitching our ideas and products to the 'Dragons', asking for investment.

WC 13.11.17

  • This week has been Health and Wellbeing Week. On Tuesday, we enjoyed a visit from local inspiration, Jim Gump, who talked to us abut his incredible accomplishments in running before taking us all out for a run around the field.
  • Remember that Friday is Children In Need. The theme for Children In Need this year is Rainbow coloured. We would like all year 5 and 6  children dress in red and donate 50p.
  • Thank you all for completing the survey below. We have had over 70 responses and have started to analyse these this week.

WC 6.11.17

  • We have put together a survey to find out about people's chocolate preferences. Please use the web link below to access and complete the survey.
